Download Description
Abacus v1.3

Installer (10.1 MB; July 2011) for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. This installer will put the latest update of Abacus on your computer. This installer supersedes all previous releases, and is suitable for both new installations and upgrades. It will not overwrite an existing database. It contains the latest versions of the help files and other documents. If a v1.2 database exists on your system, this installer will move it into the correct location for this installation. When upgrading from v1.2, the old installation should be removed using the operating system Control Panel after the new version has been successfully installed. If necessary, this installation updates the Jet Database Engine to Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8. Microsoft Help and Support Article ID: 239114 refers. This is in order to prevent errors that would otherwise occur if Abacus was installed on a version of Windows XP prior to Service Pack 2. The Microsoft Installer v4.5 will also be installed on your machine as required for Windows Vista and Windows 7.

If you have already purchased and entered a licence key, then this program will run without limitation. Otherwise you will have 30 days in which to evaluate the software for your needs. As a licensed user you will be notified by e-mail as new upgrades become available.

Please note that this version of Abacus is licensed to a named user as a Single User installation for use on one machine. Customers requiring a multi-user license or networked versions should contact us for advice.
